AN investigation is underway after reports of two men breaking into a Pewsey newsagents and stealing cigarettes in the early hours of the morning.
Reports were received by Wiltshire Police at 1.50am on Monday (April 3) morning of two men being seen making off in a car from Martins Newsagents in the High Street after supposedly breaking in and stealing the shop’s stock.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: “It is believed there were two offenders and they left the scene in a black Audi estate type vehicle in the direction of Burbage. It is believed a quantity of cigarettes were stolen from the shop. Our enquiries are ongoing at this time. Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
