POLICE are seeking witnesses after a woman was attacked by a Staffordshire bull terrier in Penhill.

Between 8pm and 8.30pm on March 30, a woman was walking her dog on the field in The Valley, between Ramsbury Avenue, Downton Road and Minety Road, when a different dog approached her.

The woman then received bite injuries.

Although the owner of the Staffordshire bull terrier did stop and speak to her, he refused to leave any contact details.

Police say he was last seen on Allington Road heading towards Penhill Drive.

They believe he has links within the Penhill area.

The dog is described as having grey fur, being short-legged and stocky with a thick white fur collar.

Police believe the dog could possibly be called ‘Kaiser’.

The male dog owner is described as white, 5ft 11ins, wearing a dark blue hoody with the hood up, dark jeans and trainers. He was in his late-20s or early-30s, was clean shaven and was a smoker.
