HIP hop collaborators DJ Format and Abdominal came to Swindon for a lunchtime gig at RPM Records in Old Town.
Co–owner and manager Gregg Miszkowski has been a fan for many years.
He knew the two were in the midst of a tour to promote new album Still Hungry, and invited them on the off chance that they’d be available.
Gregg said: “I dropped Abdominal a message to see if they fancied coming along to do a bit of a performance in-store.
“He got back to say he would try to sort something out and then, a couple of days later, he got back to say he was up for it.
“I was gobsmacked – I’ve been listening to these guys’ music for the best part of ten years and I got to see them perform in the shop. There was a really good turnout.”
After the show, Format and Abdominal stayed for long enough to greet fans, sign records – and autograph the wall of the shop, which specialises in new and used vinyl.
Gregg added: “They’re really genuine and lovely guys. They had time for everybody and people really appreciated that.”
