PRIMARY school youngsters from Devizes are fine tuning their voices ready for a super choir concert on July 12.

More than 150 children from six schools will take part in Rotary SuperChoir 2017 at Dauntsey's School, West Lavington after being put through their paces earlier in the day by composer Simon May and artistic director Carole Berry.

The children from Southbroom St James, St Nicholas, Bromham, The Trinity Primary, Wansdyke primary and Woodborough will sing together between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

Al the school will receive a special banner and plaque and each member will have a commemorative t-shirt that will be worn on the night as they sing more than a dozen songs made popular by the likes of the Adele and Gary Barlow.

Devizes Rotary president Cliff Evans said: "I’d like to thank everyone involved in the organisation of the 2017 Event, particularly the teachers at the schools who have been working hard with their choirs since January.

"SuperChoir is a fantastic opportunity for pupils from across the Devizes area to share in the excitement of singing in one large choir. It’s also a great treat for the audience."

Tickets are £5.25 and are available from www.superchoir.com/2017-tickets or from Devizes Books.
