ONE of the winners in the Wiltshire Business of the Year awards is celebrating Employee Ownership Day by holding a unique business event – and all Wiltshire-based businesses are invited.

The National Self Build and Renovation Centre (NSBRC) - recently named as the 2017 Wiltshire Small Business of the Year - is hosting a Business Update & Masterclass Event on Employee Ownership Day on Friday, June 30, at the NSBRC in West Swindon from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

The day is part of a series of events and activities are taking place across the UK to raise awareness of employee ownership as an economically strong and balanced business model, and one which is responsible for increasing staff productivity, fostering creativity and innovation, and improving employee health and wellbeing.

Harvey Fremlin, MD of NSBRC, said: “We have seen huge benefits in employee-ownership and want to share our thoughts, as well as provide useful and relevant business updates and insight from a range of experienced external partners."

The event is free for all Wiltshire business owners and leaders to attend and, following networking over a continental breakfast, the morning kicks off at 9.30am with a series of business updates and masterclasses exploring employee-ownership, marketing and sales.

The Switch On To Swindon team will be on hand to give an update their ambitions for developing the local business landscape.

A complimentary lunch will be followed by guest speaker Piers Taylor, followed by a fun ‘afternoon at the races’ event in support of Swindon homeless charity Threshold, before the day draws to a close at 3.30pm with a champagne draw.

The NSBRC is near J16 of the M4, next to the Hilton Doubletree Hotel. To register for the event visit: www.eventbrite.com/e/employee-ownership-day-business-masterclasses-afternoon-at-the-races-tickets-35075718418, or call the NSBRC team on 0345 223 4455.
