BUTCHER boys Jack and Charlie Cook, who are the fourth generation of family firm Walter Rose & Son in Devizes, are celebrating after reaching the final of yet another awards.
The brothers who are following in the footsteps of their father Steve at the business in Sidmouth Street were delighted the shop was a finalist in the Meat Management Industry awards held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
Although the business has won many other prestigious awards it is the first time it has reached this level of a contest known as the Oscars of the meat world and attracts many of the country's leading firms.
Jack Cook said: "We are delighted to have made it into final this year. It’s a genuine achievement as votes are cast by everyone from chefs, restaurant owners and fellow meat industry professionals. We are very grateful to all those who endorsed and voted for us. We attribute our success as finalists to our dedicated and passionate team and our commitment to quality, Wiltshire-reared meat combined with our expertise and exceptional customer service."
Walter Rose & Son is to launch a redesigned e-commerce in the autumn which it believes will help boot its presence in the national market.
