JASON Bourne was told to do 150 hours of unpaid work after he pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, being over the alcohol limit and having no insurance.

On July 26 magistrates sitting in Swindon imposed a one-year community order on the 29-year-old of Garland Court, Meadow Road, Cirencester, and banned him from driving for 38 months after hearing that he was caught behind the wheel of a Honda Civic in London Street, Swindon, on July 6.

Bourne, also known by the surname Jackson, had a level of 56 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system. The legal driving limit is 35mcgs.

A Park South man will appear before a judge later this month charged with carrying a machete and stabbing a dog.

Connor Livingstone, 21, of Priory Road, appeared before Swindon magistrates charged with using unlawful violence towards another, carrying a machete and stabbing a dog in Banwell Avenue in April.

Another man, Bradley William Livingstone, 22, of Croft Road, also appeared before magistrates accused of violence and damaging windows of a property in Branwell Avenue.

Both were released on bail and will appear before Swindon Crown Court for trial by jury.

Wilful obstruction of a police officer cost Neil Wixey a £50 fine, a bill for £85 prosecution costs and a £30 contribution towards victim services when he appeared before Swindon magistrates on July 26.

Wixey, aged 45, of Beaulieu Close, Toothill, admitted the offence which was committed on July 4 at the Great Western Hospital.

Magistrates imposed a 12-month community order on Kieran Ricks when he pleaded guilty to drink driving and using a car without insurance.

Ricks, 18, of Buckland Close, Park North appeared before them on July 26 and was told to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work.

The court heard he was twice the 35 microgrammes drink-drive limit when he drove a Renault Clio in Cricklade Road, Gorse Hill on July 5.

He also had no insurance for the vehicle. Ricks was instructed to pay a total of £170 towards prosecution costs and victim services.

A woman from Yorkshire who refused to give a breathalyser sample when pulled over in Swindon has been disqualified from driving.

Lina Lukauskaite, 39, from Leeds, failed to comply with requests for a sample on July 4.

She was fined £200, and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge, on top of a 16 month disqualification from driving, at Swindon Magistrates' Court.

Magistrates imposed a 12-month community order on a woman who admitted assaulting three police officers in Swindon on May 26 and 27.

Hazel Coppin, 21, of Hazel Way, Brockworth, Gloucestershire, also admitted assaulting a man by beating.

Sitting on July 26 the Swindon bench ordered her to do 80 hours of unpaid work and pay a total of £170 towards victim services and prosecution costs.

A 20-year-old woman was fined and given a conditional discharge at Swindon Magistrates’ Court for assaulting another woman and damaging another’s possessions.

During the incident on June 23, Roseanne Barnes beat one woman before damaging a kettle, a vase, a mirror, a torch and a T-shirt belonging to another woman.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account when sentencing, and she was conditionally discharged for six months and ordered to pay £59.99 in compensation, the value of the items damaged.

Magistrates ordered a man to wear an electronic tag after convicting him of buying dangerous pepper spray aerosol weapons.

Robert Dean Meacham, 36, of Lisle Close, pleaded guilty to acquiring a weapon designed for the discharge of a gas.

He was slapped with a six-week curfew, ordering him to stay at home between 8pm and 5am. He was ordered to pay a £85 victim surcharge and costs of £85.
