A MAN was thrown off his mobility scooter in a hit and run incident on Thamesdown Drive.
The victim was going over a pedestrian crossing a short distance from the Groundwell Industrial Estate at about 6pm on October 2 when a car is thought to have gone through a red light and hit his scooter.
Police said the 59-year-old fell to the ground but the car carried on in the direction of the Moonrakers pub without the driver making any attempt to stop.
The scooter rider, who was helped up from the ground by a member of the public, suffered cuts to his leg. His machine was damaged in the incident.
Wiltshire Police said the car involved was dark blue and they believe it may have been a Ford Mondeo.
They have appealed for anyone who may have seen the accident to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
