A ROBBER gang swung a bike saddle at their young victim before making off with his bike.
The boy, 15, was in Manchester Road when he was approached by the gang of four men dressed in dark clothing.
Police said the men quickly became threatening, swinging a bike saddle at their victim, causing him to let go of the green and blue Carrera bike.
The attack took place at around 5.30pm on Monday, October 16.
PC Matt Shutt said: “Although shaken, the victim was unhurt. We would like to speak to anyone who may have heard or saw anything suspicious in the area at this time.
“The victim’s bike is described as a Carrera that is green and blue in colour, and has front suspension.”
Police have asked anyone with information to contact PC Matt Shutt on 101, or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
