A FORMER Corsham School student is furious after four pieces of artwork that she produced for her GCSE's went missing from the school earlier this month.

Chloe Tomkins, who is now studying carpentry and joinery at Chippenham College, is appealing for help after three pieces of A1 sized artwork and one piece of A2 sized depicting horses disappeared from the school's collection point without a trace.

"I went in to collect my artwork at the beginning of the month and when I got there everyone's work was was just dumped on table. I managed to find my sketchbooks but I couldn't find any of the four big art pieces.

"I am really frustrated, especially considering I wasn't allowed to take a photo of my exam piece, something I was really proud of and was looking forward to showing my Mum and Dad.

"One of the other pieces was going to be given as a gift to the lady at the stables for all the help she gave me as the horse in the portrait is one of hers, but now I don't have it to give to her."

Although the school has been working with the 16-year-old to find the canvasses, Chloe is concerned that she may have lost hours of hard work forever.

"The school have said they will help me to look for it and they have also emailed the Year 12 in case one of them may have seen it but I just don't understand. They were locked up throughout our GCSE's and as soon as we finished and got our grades, they were just chucked on a table in a place where around 1,000 students have access to.

"I'm really upset. There's no way someone could just put three A1 and one A2 piece in their bag and walk out without anyone seeing."

The Corsham School has been contacted for a comment.
