SACKS of toys for under privileged children were collected after soldiers and staff from Warminster Garrison headquarters took part in the toy appeal.

For the fifth year running, the Garrison have been donating toys to the Salvation Army's Toy Appeal ready for Santa Claus to deliver to vulnerable children from across the county.

Lt Col Val Robertson, Deputy Garrison Commander said: “This is a very worthy cause which is so pertinent at this time of year, our soldiers and staff are always very generous and I think the Salvation Army’s Toy Appeal is well worth supporting as we have in all the previous years.

"I hope the children receiving these toys enjoy them, and all the Soldiers and Staff in Warminster Garrison wishes them a very Merry Christmas.”

The toys were delivered to the Salvation Army headquarters in Trowbridge last Friday (December 8) where they were received by Major Kelvin Lang.
