A VETERAN’S centre will celebrate its third birthday on Friday.
The Royal British Legion’s Regent Street “pop-in” centre opened its doors in 2014.
Since then volunteers at the centre have offered advice, information and support to hundreds of armed service veterans and their families.
The charity, which was founded in 1921, says its members have made 540 home and hospital visits in Wiltshire alone this year – with its volunteers representing the Legion at 70 events.
At Friday’s event, volunteers and those interested in the Royal British Legion’s work are invited to celebrate the pop-in centre’s third anniversary.
A small display will also give people a chance to find our more about the work of the Legion’s membership arm, which sees volunteers offer veterans and their relatives advice and support both face-to-face and over the phone.
The third anniversary event will be on Friday, December 15, from 10.30am-12.30pm, at the Royal British Legion pop-in centre, 52-54 Regent Street.
