A TALENTED artist is selling prints of his work to help pay for a memorial headstone for his brother.

Jamie Wilson, of Amberley Close, Calne, who specialises in oil paintings is hoping to raise enough money to get his brother, Troy, a proper headstone as the family currently don’t have the means to pay for one.

Mr Wilson, said: “We are raising money for a headstone for his grave in Chippenham Cemetery as we would very much like to honour Troy with a proper headstone, but do not have the money ourselves.”

He hopes to raise £1,500 to go towards the costs of the headstone for Troy, who died in November 2016 aged 51.

Mr Wilson has set up a Just Giving page to receive donations, and anyone who donates £15 or more will be gifted a painting of Troy, and his dog Boots.

“My brother was well known in the town, 500 people came to his funeral”, he said. “The painting I have done was a gift for my parents.

“I have taken prints off that and selling them for £15. £12 of that will go towards the headstone, but people can donate more if they want to.”
