A BROUGHTON Gifford electrician died from multiple injuries after falling from a great height near the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, an inquest was told.
Colin Boydon, 43, from The Common, Broughton Gifford, died in the early morning of December 11 last year.
His body was found on the A4 Portway beneath the bridge in the Avon Gorge. The inquest heard he had consumed alcohol and drugs before falling.
The Avon Assistant Coroner, Dr Peter Harrowing, read out evidence at the inquest at Flax Bourton on Tuesday.
He said Mr Boydon was pronounced dead at 9.30am, having fallen from a wall close to the bridge. Dr Harrowing recorded a narrative verdict.
