THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice.
But the end is in sight for the cold snap.
The warning, which is in place until 9am on Tuesday, comes after widespread snow and over the course of the weekend brought many areas to a standstill.
Despite the yellow weather warning, things are expected to pick up later in the day, with warmer weather on the way as spring finally begins to kick in.
A Met Office spokesman said: "On Tuesday it will be a frosty, icy start with perhaps some mist at first. Otherwise it will be a dry and fine day with sunny spells. It will be milder. The maximum temperature will be 9 °C.
"Wednesday will locally be a frosty start, then dry and milder. Thursday and Friday will also be mild but more unsettled with spells of wind and rain.
