FOODIE events for all the family are included in this year’s Devizes Food and Drink Festival which runs from May 5 to May 18.
For many people the highlight of the fortnight is the grand festival market that will be held on May 12 in the Market Place and will include a large number of stalls selling a wide range of food and drink.
To keep youngsters occupied there will be sideshows and entertainment including face painting and balloon modelling plus a human fruit machine. There will also be live music with singers including Rob Lear and Jamie R Hawkins.
Other highlights include a beer and pie evening on May 8 with a tour of Wadworth Brewery, which starts at 7pm and costs £17.50.
The following evening there will be food and wine tasting with Joe Fattorini, which starts at 6.30pm and costs £16.50. On May 10 The Crown in New Park Street is hosting a street food festival from 7pm at a cost of £11.50.
On May 15 there will be a pop-up restaurant at Erlestoke Prison.
