VOLUNTEERS are needed to help drive people around the Trowbridge community for Trowbridge Link.
The group needs people who have their own cars to take the elderly, disabled or disadvantaged people to medical appointments, nursing homes, hospitals, family visits or to do shopping.
The group also needs people who are good with a computer so that they can act as co-ordinators, taking messages from clients on a mobile phone and arranging drivers to transport them around.
Co-ordinators need to be able to work for one day a week in their own home between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm to take calls from clients, to contact drivers, and to record on a laptop computer the details of all arranged drives.
To ensure the safety of the clients, all volunteers must be willing to undergo a DBS check.
