CHIPPENHAM ensured their 2017-18 campaign were ended with a silver tinge by emerging victorious from last night's Bath Combination Cup final.

Chippenham saw off South West One West side Keynsham 19-13 to lift the cupat Bath's Recreation Ground..

The Allington Field side opened the scoring with a try from Brad Doggett in the first half but Keynsham fought back, a forwards rumble brining a converted try and a penalty extending their lead to 10-5.

A second scored from Doggett restored parity before Dan Wainwright's conversion nudged the Wiltshire men two points clear.

Jacob Unwin crossed the line to put Chippenham further clear, Wainwright again adding the extras and despite a further Keynsham penalty, the South West One East outfit held on.
