Show Business, Broadway Blast and Name That Tune will open the annual summer concert of the Kentwood Show Choir on Saturday at 7.30pm in Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre in aid of Hearing Dogs charity. There will be a mix from musical theatre shows, some pop classics such as Say A Little Prayer and some favourite operatic numbers such as Time To Say Goodbye. Natalie Forty from the choir said: “The juniors are joining in Funiculi Funicula, Everythings Coming Up Roses and I’m A Believer, with Jamie Stone and Andrew Watts having solo spots in the Jesus Christ Superstar medley.The choir is accompanied by the Little Big Band led by pianist Paul Maguire, who has worked on a number of West End shows. The rest of the band are Andy Gibson on trumpet, Ian Bateman on trombone, Mark Burton on synthesiser, Gary Branch on reeds, Andy Griffiths on percussion and Tracey Absolom on bass guitar. Other soloists are Karin Balfe, Dorinda Dodson, Susannah Bevington, Sue Hatchard, Debbie Webb, Natalie Forty, Catherine Forty and Samantha Humphreys.
