A VOLUNTEER at Threshold is hiking 80 miles through the Scottish Highlands from Fort William to Inverness.

Cliff Boddy finishes his fifth and final day of the hike today.

He with his friend Gary Hillerby to raise money for the homeless charity.

Cliff said: "This hike has been tough, it's sore on the feet and the weather hasn't been brilliant.

"The last three days have been the toughest, there have been some really high climbs

"But the views up here are spectacular, it's really rewarding."

When he's not volunteering for the charity, 58-year-old Cliff from Abbey Meads works as a self-employed landscape gardener.

He added: "It's a very worthwhile charity and they do a fantastic job.

"I've never seen such a dedicated group of inspiring people who are so compassionate and kind.

"Gary and I walked the west highlands way last year, then decided to do hike the Great Glen Way for Threshold.

"I ran the Swindon half-marathon for the charity last year, I want to raise as much as I can for them."
