A FRIEND of terminally ill dad Nick Jones will be joining him on Everest, determined to help him achieve his dream.
Kerry Wilson from Westbury, who reached Everest base camp last March, wants to see Mr Jones achieve his goal and raise cash for the Nick Jones Foundation for Bereaved Children. He will join the eight-strong team, which includes celebrity Peter Andre, on the mountain in October.
He said: “Nick is a very brave and passionate man and is determined to reach the summit of Island peak, just off Everest.
“However there are dangers uch as altitude sickness, steep hills, cliff edges and falling rocks.
“Everything outside your sleeping bag will freeze solid, so you have to keep your belongings inside it with you at night. I’m not nervous as I know what to expect, but I imagine the other guys are a little apprehensive.”
