SPECIALIST Wiltshire drone police helped detectives in the next county investigate a village murder.
Parts of Radstock, between Bath and Shepton Mallet, were cordoned off on Saturday after police were called to an assault.
Avon and Somerset Police, which has launched a murder investigation, said their officers found the man with serious injuries around 2.30pm. A spokesman said: “He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.”
Wiltshire Police’s unmanned aerial vehicle team was sent to Somerset to help with the search. Officers tweeted: “We assisted our colleagues in Avon and Somerset Police with a major investigation in Radstock.”
The five pilots in the Wiltshire Police drone team are all special constables, volunteering their time.
