COURT: Swindon magistrates instructed Imran Ali to do 100 hours of unpaid work after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman on April 24.
The sentence was imposed as part of a 12-month community order that included up to 20 rehabilitation activity days.
Ali, 20, of Grange Park, was also told to pay £85 to victim services and the same again towards prosecution costs.
COURT: A man of 51 who assaulted a woman on May 15 was given a year’s community order by Swindon magistrates and told to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work.
Conrad Stevens of Atlee Crescent, Upper Stratton, was also told he must pay a total of £170 towards victim services and court costs.
COURT: Being drunk and disorderly at Swindon railway station cost Emma Howard £110. The 30-year-old of Woodfarm Road, Headington, Oxford, admitted the allegation and was fined £40 by Swindon magistrates with another £30 contribution towards victim services and £85 court costs.
COURT: Robert Jaffrey was banned from the roads for 16 months after pleading guilty to drink driving.
Swindon magistrates court heard he was caught in a Honda CRV in The Circle on April 30 and breath tests revealed a level of 57 micrograms of alcohol in his system. The limit is 35.
Jaffrey, 56, of Linden Avenue, was fined £288 with a £30 victim surcharge and costs of £85.
