A BEARDED cyclist hit a 4x4 driver, before pedaling away on his folding bike.

Wiltshire Police has appealed for any information that could help them catch the shorts-wearing male cyclist, who they say verbally abused a driver before hitting him in the face.

The force said the driver of the blue Ford Ranger was attacked on Sheppard Street, town centre, at around 4pm on Thursday, June 28.

“The cyclist reached into the driver’s window and hit the victim to the face before cycling away,” a police spokeswoman said.

Anyone who saw the road rage attack or can identify the cyclist should call PC Amanda Stevenson on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
