Security guard assaulted by man who tried to use counterfeit note in Trowbridge store
A MAN who tried and failed to use a counterfeit £50 note at a Trowbridge store is being hunted by police after he went onto assault the security guard there.
At 8pm on Saturday, a man and a woman entered Tesco Express, Frome Road, and tried to use a counterfeit £50 note.
When confronted, the man punched the security guard in the face, causing a split lip.
Police are now looking for both of them.
