COURT: Magistrates have banned a 29-year-old from discount shop B&M Bargains, after he was charged with stealing meat from the store.

Callum James Sherry denies stealing meat, another man’s booze and clothing, and a woman’s Garmin satellite navigation device worth £130.

He was bailed for the trial at Swindon Magistrates Court on November 12. He must not enter B&M Bargains and sleep at his Shrivenham Road home.

COURT: Christopher Anthony Desantos will face a crown court judge, after he was charged with beating a woman and displaying coercive and controlling behaviour towards her.

The 29-year-old of Lilac Court, Pinehurst, also denied stealing meat products from Farm Foods on Cheney Manor Road when he appeared before Swindon Magistrates Court.

He will next appear before Swindon Crown Court on August 31. Desantos will be tried by magistrates for the theft offence on November 12.

COURT: A homeless man faced 28 charges when he appeared before magistrates.

Brian Gay Bingham, 24, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing goods worth over £41 from the Kingshill Esso garage, assaulting a police officer and three counts of resisting arrest.

By admitting to the crimes, he also triggered suspended prison sentences for 16 previous offences.

Magistrates sentenced Bingham to a total of 46 weeks in prison, compensation of £259.99 to the police officers and a victim surcharge of £80.
