DRIVERS passing through Bradford on Avon are being advised to seek an alternative route because of long delays for water works.
Local police have warned motorists they face delays of up to 30 minutes passing through the town.
Wessex Water is working on three sets of repairs in the B3109 Frome Road, the A363 in St Margaret’s Street and at the Station Approach junction where there are three-way traffic lights.
A Police spokesman said: “Delays of up to 30 minutes have been experienced today.
“Temporary traffic lights on the roundabout by Frome Road, Trowbridge Road, Station Approach and St Margaret's Street are causing long delays on all approaches to the town.
“They are in operation between 9am and 3pm until this Friday, September 7.
“If your journey is taking you through the town, we advise seeking an alternate route.
