COURT: David MacKenzie was ordered to pay more than £1,500 after he took a car without the consent of the owner and drove it in Cricklade Road while he was over the alcohol limit.
Swindon magistrates heard the 33-year-old of Welbeck Close, Park North, did not have a licence or insurance when he got behind the wheel of the Hyundai Getz on August 23.
MacKenzie, who admitted all four charges, gave a breath test reading of 55mg - 20 over the limit.
He was disqualified for 15 months, fined £1,400 and told to pay £145 victim surcharge and court costs.
