Wyvern Theatre’s Memory Café meets today in the foyer. This is a relaxed event, where those living with dementia, along with their carers, friends and families, can meet to talk and join in with various activities and hear from guest speakers. They also have the opportunity to speak to support workers, medical practitioners and advisors - and of course, hot drinks and cake are provided.

The 25th anniversary season of the Lunchtime Recital Series begins with the Messiaen Quartet for the End of Time, performed by Miranda Dale on violin, Caroline Dale on cello, Joy Farrall on clarinet and Paul Turner on piano.

At 1.05pm on Wednesday at the Wyvern Theatre, the recital features a quartet that is reckoned to be a masterpiece of the 20th century. Tickets are £6, with accompanied children aged 14 or under free.

The Wyvern Comedy Club meets in the Spotlight Room of the Wyvern Theatre on Friday night, with another party-filled evening of comedy fun from 8pm starring Keith Farnan, Kiri Pritchard McClean and Dana Alexander. Keith, who has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, has the natural ability to delve into themes other comics may shy away from and it is this aptitude that is placing him in the lead of investigative comedians. Dana, the only black female comedian on the circuit in Canada, has a comedic style is both refreshing and irreverent, drawing her material from her diverse lifestyle, her gay friends and her crazy Jamaican family.

Stand-up comedian Joe Avati returns to the Wyvern Theatre on Saturday, for his 20th Anniversary World Tour Show, and he will showcasing the best of his new material and your choice of the classic routines about growing up Italian.

His show is unique in that he gets the audience to decide what classic routines they want to hear. The show starts at 8pm and tickets cost £22.50.

Iain Stirling brings his new show U OK Hun?x to the Wyvern Theatre on Monday. The Bafta-winning stand-up and voice of Love Island will explore dinner party etiquette and the pressures on a generation brought up in a world of instant gratification. How has modern living affected our ability to find long term happiness, he muses. Can social media ever reflect real life? And why is the floor lava? The show kicks off at 8pm and tickets are £20.
