Fire crews rushed to the scene after a van caught light at Greenbridge Retail Park.

Councillor Bazil Solomon, who was shopping at the retail park, watched the scene unfold.

He said: “I took a break to get some bits from Currys and a guy was helping a lady try and stop this fire in her car.

“I didn’t know what was going on. All of a sudden she was running around and calling the fire brigade.

“I was mainly worried that if the fuel caught fire it could spread to the other cars but luckily it didn’t.

“It was absolutely amazing how quick the fire fighters were here.”

Dorset and Wilts Fire Service confirmed one engine had been sent to the scene close to Currys PC World and the fire was out by the time it arrived.
