BNP leafleting in Calne

Comments (56)NATIONALIST party the BNP have been leafleting homes across Calne as part of a massive campaign.
Furious residents complained to police after the far right party pushed propaganda through their door.
The leaflet claims that robberies, muggings and sexual assaults are on the up across the country.
It reads: "While the police are sat at the side of the motorway or in political correctness classes the real criminals are free to wreck decent peoples' lives.
"A wave of anti social behaviour is sweeping our streets and estates with a minority of rowdy youths making life unpleasant for the law abiding majority."
Landlord of The Kings Arm in Calne Richard Snell said: "The BNP have picked an electoral stance to become more attractive to the electorate and get more people involved.
"They are not showing their true colours."
Deputy sector head for Chippenham, Corsham and Calne Sgt Steve Cox said: "Wiltshire Police is a non political organisation.
"However we are aware of certain information which has been circulating within Calne.
"We would like to reassure the public that we have a visible presence policing the town 24 hours each day, this is in addition to the neighbourhood policing teams based at Calne police station."
BNP member Robert Baggs said the leafleting was part of a town wide campaign and not related to the upcoming by election.
He said: "We had decided to do a big campaign in Calne. The leaflet was a deliberate choice as people are concerned with the level of crime in Calne.
"We want to tell people we provide answers to some of these problems. We are not frightened of tackling the issues other parties shy away from."
After UKIP councillor Jill Martin resigned people in Calne called for a by election.
Mr Baggs would not confirm he will be running for BNP and it is rumoured former councillor Ellie Bland will stand for the Lickhill seat.
Mad hatter Geoff Brown will stand for the green party.

Don't know why you thought that. No serious paper I know of, is politically neutral, they usually have an axe to grind. If you don't like the politics you have two choices and only one is cheap. Don't read the paper or buy the whole paper and change the political slant.

One thing did make me chuckle, and i quote,"we have a visible presence policing the town 24 hours each day" - if this is the case, why does it take on average well over 20mins from calling the police before someone arrives?
Anyone proactive in sorting out the criminal element gets my vote, its long overdue.

Spooks yes there where protests in corsham over the bnp but its little known that they bused in protesters from as far away as bristol for those protests most people where not overly bothered.Personally i was happy they believe in giving us back our streets and sense of community no matter what that community is made up of and after all is that not what we all want?

1. When my son and his friend got assaulted on their way home. (30 mins approx)
2. Some idiot that attempted to threatend me with a golf club (police didn't even show)
3. Countless times over bloody mini moto's (took care of it ourselves as they failed to respond)
...I could go on, but the police don't get called by us any more unless it is theft or serious assault. You a policeman per chance?

The BNP are a legitimate political party, if I agree with their views or not. They have a right to leaflet, and we have the right to ignore it, or vote for them.

You people are being played by this 'we're only thinking what you're thinking...' the Conservatives legitimately evoked this debate under Howard regarding difficult issues such as immigration and crime control. You were sceptical then, so why not now?!?
Entering into Europe, valid debate. Managing immigration, valid debate.
But the core fundamentals of BNP's beliefs; removing citizens of non-indigenous origin (peacefully or otherwise) is wrong. Recriminalising homosexuality. Capital punishment. Patriachy, likewise.
Sorry Robert, but I strongly disagree. You don't speak for me, and if more people took the time to pore over your manifesto, I would hope you wouldn't speak for them either. You can't just pick and choose a selective ideology. Hence the cliché; 'at least Hitler made the trains run on time...'

And as for wanting the country back, well, that's not that easy, is it? Presumably people want it returned to a time before 'mass immigration'. So when's that? The 1950s? The early ninth century? The end of the Roman era?
How about we all try to get along? And, for that, I'm amongst the first to say that the onus is on the immigrants to integrate. But a Britain that sues all the talents it can get will be a stronger Britain. And maybe ebtter at cricket too.

The BNP is full of Nazis, and thats official. Dont take my word for it but listen to the BNP. Even they now admit that their leadership is rammed full of Hitler worshippers, Holocaust deniers and nazi saluting loons.
As the internal splits inside the BNP deepen it seems that every side is accusing each other of being neo-Nazis.
Nick Griffin has accused the rebels as being an ultra-right Militant Tendency within the BNP pushing of cranky neo-Nazi conspiracy theories. Contrary to Daily Mail/Express/Sun reports, this country in an irreversible decline. Much of the spiel that is reproduced by BNP supporters is scaremongering and simply panders to a media-driven public perception of the country.
