DANIEL Craig and Myleene Klass have come top in a poll of heavenly celebrity bodies compiled by a Wiltshire-based fitness expert enterprise.

Halle Berry, Madonna, Brad Pitt and Johnny Wilkinson were some of the big names to make the online poll devised by Trowbridge-based Premier Training International, which trains top personal trainers.

More than 1,800 people cast their votes or filled out vox pops at a dedicated website www.celebritiesinshape.com to choose who would feature in the Celebrities in Shape' poll.

"Many top celebrities work long and hard at staying in shape and regard it as an important part of the job," said Norman Basson, the founder and executive chairman of Premier Training International.

"Keeping the body in good shape is an inspired mix of diet, nutrition, exercise and physical effort, plus a large dollop of dedication.

"We thought it was high time they received a formal recognition for their efforts and the fine example they present to us."

According to the poll, 007 star Daniel Craig received 20 per cent of the male votes to get the top spot, while 77-year-old Sean Connery, who played the first James Bond, came in at number ten.

Johnny Wilkinson came second in the men's poll, in front of Brad Pitt, Hugh Grant, David Beckham and Johnny Depp.

The female list places Myleene Class in first place, followed closely by Halle Berry, Jessica Simpson, Madonna, Sophia Loren and Jennifer Lopez.

At the age of 73, Sophia Loren, is twice the age of some of the other stars to feature in the list but her good shape and healthy diet helped her get in to the list's top five celebrity women in the best physical shape.

Other celebrities to feature in the chart include Orlando Bloom, Colin Firth, Uma Thurman and Jennifer Anniston, with Prince William and Heidi Klum just outside the chart.
