GARAGES in a conservation area in Warminster will be demolished to make way for homes.
Chartered architect Rod Towler has been granted planning permission to knock down the garages behind 93 West Street and replace them with three terraced town houses.
West Wiltshire District Council's planning committee voted for consent to be given at a meeting on Thursday night.
The committee backed advice given in a report by planning officer Matthew Perks, who said the plan would not harm the character or appearance of the conservation area.
Warminster Town Council had objected to the plan on the basis it could lead to serious highway issues.
