TROWBRIDGE Twinning Association is organising a coach trip to visit its twin town of Leer in Germany in October.
It is a special trip is to mark the celebration of the 500th Gallimarkt, traditionally a cattle market, being held in the town from October 8-12.
Residents in Leer are busy organising a full festival of events which will take place in the town to celebrate this important event in their history, with the added attraction of a traditional German fair.
Leer will also be hosting the Ostfrieslandschau, the equivalent of the West Wilts Show, when thousands of people and exhibitors will descend on this pretty harbour town.
Trowbridge/Leer Twinning Association is booking a 35 seater coach for the trip on which there are currently spare seats available.
The cost with a full coach is £84 per person, with the possibility of being hosted by a family in Leer.
Chairman Alan Somerville said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the people of Trowbridge to experience at first hand the cultures and way of life in our twin town.
"Accommodation is free if you are hosted, with meals provided by the host.
"Leer is a very attractive harbour town with lots to see and do and something to suit everyone - it will be an experience to remember."
