THE garden and storage area at Stepping Stones Pre-School in Trowbridge has been transformed by a group of volunteers.
Employees at The Consortium, in Hammond Way, Trowbridge, teamed up to renovate the back garden for the special needs school.
The garden was run down and lacked storage space.
With the generous help of businesses around Trowbridge the team of 12 generated goods and materials for the project, including two sheds, two garden benches, three tonnes of garden shingle, a skip, plants, wood stain and all the tools they needed to complete the task.
The project was tackled in three stages, removing the existing shed and cleaning the whole area.
They then laid the shingle, levelled out some paving slabs, painted the wall and fencing, potted some plants, positioned the benches and fixed the fence.
Finally the team spent a day putting together the sheds and treating so that the school will be able to use them to store equipment.
The team comprised of leader Lee Davey, Mark Barnett, Kayleigh Tennant, James Earwicker, Julie Cox, Matt Badham, Pete Spong, Mark Jones, Lee Radford, Lorraine Chivers, Christine Biddulph and Tina Heath.
Mr Davey said: "I would like to thank Ross Hillman of Westbury for the shingle donation and B&Q in Trowbridge for £200 toward the sheds.
"Marmax donated the benches and we couldn't have done it without the kind assistance of Leekes in Melksham, EJ Shanley & Son in Trowbridge, the Shaw Trust, Bradfords and Business in the Community."
