Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas heaped praise on Chippenham Town after his side's 4-1 win on Saturday.
The Robins manager was less than complimentary about his team's first half performance which saw them go 1-0 down thanks to Sam Allison's ninth minute strike.
But second half goals from Billy Paynter, Tom Godsell's own goal and Ben Joyce's double saw the League One outfit run out clear winners, though Malpas had words of comfort for the beaten Bluebirds.
He said: "We were told before we came they do well as a team. Adie has got them playing in a good manner and try and pass it.
"They have got a lot to take from the game, a lot of positives.
"It was all about what we did although they played well as a team. They are a little bit behind us in terms of fitness but they all worked hard."
Bluebirds counterpart Adie Mings was also pleased with the run out, despite the defeat, ahead of tomorrow night's game at Melksham Town.
"It was a very, very good exercise against a very good League one side," he said. "I spoke to the players before and told them it is about fine margins and seeing where we were in terms of our progress.
"We acquitted ourselves very well."
Meanwhile, Mings has moved closer to the signing of Cortez Belle by discussing a contract with the 24-year-old, who can play upfront or in defence.
Belle played against Swindon on Saturday and Mings is confident they can reach and agreement.
