Police have snared nine drivers for speeding through a Wiltshire village.
Speed enforcement teams from Wiltshire Police were deployed to The Hill at Little Somerford, a village between Malmesbury and the M4, on Thursday, April 11.
A total of nine motorists were issued with notices of intended prosecution for excessive speeding during the operation.
The fastest vehicle was caught travelling at 41mph on the 30mph road.
All nine drivers will either be offered a speed awareness course or face a £100 fine and three points on their licence, depending on previous convictions and history.
Police say they will now begin analysing captured footage to check for any further motoring offences that may have been committed.
A spokesperson for the force added: “Proceedings will now be undertaken to ensure the most appropriate outcome for the offenders takes place, which includes checking for MOT, insurance and point totters.
“Captured footage will be analysed for other offences like seat belts and mobile phone use.”
On the same day, officers also attended the village of Lea for further speed checks, but all motorists were travelling within the legal speed limit.
