A MAN who drove a truck so fast down a gravel lane that it became airborne before smashing into a police car has been jailed for three months.
Michael Hughes, 22, of Millgreen Road, Amesbury, was trying to escape police on May 15 when he smashed into a patrol car on a byway off the A344.
Hughes, who admitted dangerous driving and driving without a licence or insurance, was also disqualified from driving for 12 months by Salisbury Crown Court.
