TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage following a series of windows smashes in Trowbridge in the early hours of Friday.
The incidents occurred at about 12.30am in Church Street and Church Walk.
Peter Sweetland West Insurance and Papillon Unisex and Hair Salon both had windows smashed in Church Walk and in Church Street DK Estate Agents had its window smashed and St Andrew's bookshop had the glass pane in its front door smashed.
The episode was caught on CCTV.
Police later arrested two Trowbridge man, aged 20 and 26, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Both men were questioned at Trowbridge police station before being bailed to come back to on October 17, while forensic inquires are carried out.
Partner at DK Estate Agents, David Heath found the smashed window when he arrived to open up the shop, which is one of the oldest buildings in Trowbridge, at 8am on Friday.
He said: "We've had this happened twice before but the police never found the people who did it."
St Andrew's bookshop was targeted again on Friday night -the same window was smashed and blood was left at the scene. Police have taken samples of the blood and are investigating.
