Crimestoppers Family Fun Day, as its name suggests, is all about people of all ages having a great time.

The singing stars on the main stage are a huge attraction but there is plenty to see and do in other areas of the grounds as well.

Sporting stars from Swindon's Wildcats ice hockey and the Swindon Robins speedway team will be strutting their stuff. Willie, the Wildcats mascot, will be making sure no-one breaks the rules when a penalty shootout contest is held.

Members of the speedway team will be giving an adrenalin packed demonstration of their skills.

For those who want to get in on the action themselves there is the chance to sample a six metre high climbing wall or shoot rifles with a paintball unit.

Quad bikes, go- carts, archery and tae kwon do are also available for those who like their action to be at a fast pace.

For those who want to take things at a more leisurely pace there are falconry displays, prizewinning bonsai or the chance to marvel at the world's tallest magician.

Youngsters can take in a Punch and Judy show, learn circus skills or play giant board games.

There will be a display by the Bluebell Majorettes and the Christchurch Cruiser Motorbike Club and fun with the novelty chicken act Clucking Fantastic.

One of the favourite attractions is sure to be the the chance to use a hose with firefighters from Wiltshire.

For anyone who wants the chance to meet the stars of the show then the place to be is the Gazette and Herald stand.

Fans can get the autograph of those appearing on the main stage at no charge. So why not make a beeline for the Gazette's bouncy castle and display area and get in line for a fantastic experience. We are expecting Hope, Same Difference, Ray Quinn and Kavana to put in an appearance at our stall. If you are really lucky, star of the show Jason Donovan may also be persuaded to make a personal appearance.

The Gazette bouncy castle will give little ones the chance to let off steam.

Our marketing team will also be on hand to hear your comments on the paper and to hand out free goodies.

Crimestoppers is the only registered charity in the country working in partnership with the police, which detects criminals and solves crime. People know that no questions will be asked in connection with the caller's identity, no calls are taped and no numbers traced.

I thought it was just me! Two articles on this site about this event and no mention of venue or time, great journalism.
