GRAFFITI "artists" have gone on a rampage around Ford and Bishopdown causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to cars and other property.
In one night there were eight separate incidents of vandalism, including damage to three cars who were sprayed with red and yellow paint, often using the tags SP1 and JM.
Roads, fences, garage doors and a skateboarding ramp in Bishopdown were also damaged, with the words Bishopdown Boys sprayed across the ramp.
Police community support officer Kim Weston said: "We have never had this scale of graffiti in this area and we are taking it very seriously. We are asking anyone with any information to come forward."
The incidents took place overnight between August 28 and 29.
Anyone who can help police with their inquiries is asked to call PCSO Weston or PC Sara Murtagh on 01722 435256 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
