WORKERS at schools equipment suppliers Consortium left their cars behind and travelled to work by bike, canoe and horse on Monday.
The firm in Hammond Way, Trowbridge, decided to run an event to raise awareness of alternative transport for World Car Free Day.
Julia Betteridge, from Hoggington Lane, Southwick, rode her horse Banjie the 4.3 miles to work, while Darren Liffen cycled 37 miles from Swindon and Barney Greig kayaked along the Kennet and Avon Canal from his home in Bradford on Avon.
Mr Greig, who usually cycles to work, said: "It only took me about 20 minutes along the canal.
"I'm quite lucky because I live next to the canal and work is opposite Staverton Marina where I exit the canal.
"Its not that far and it's a really nice way to come into work "I can't imagine there are that many people who come into work by canoe."
Mr Greig even got his canoe from website www.freecycle.org, which gives people the chance to reuse unwanted items instead of sending them to landfill sites.
Several other employees walked or car-shared with a colleague on their way to work.
