Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s inaugural Corporate Green Awards have gone to companies in the Devizes, Chippenham and Swindon areas.

Hosted by BBC’s Tomorrow’s World personality Judith Hann, around 200 local business leaders, company executives and local government officials attended the ceremony held at the Four Pillars Cotswold Water Park Hotel.

The awards – set to become an annual event in the Trust’s calendar – reward environmental best practice in Wiltshire and Swindon business, under four categories: Environmental Impact, Environmental Action, Green Shoots and Outstanding Contribution.

Entry was open to all companies and organisations – both national and local – with an operational base in the county.

Graham Palmer, Intel’s UK and Ireland Managing Director said: “We are delighted to win the Green Award.

"It’s a great recognition of the team effort at Intel in Swindon to make the environment top of mind.”
