A cyclist injured in a collision with a car on the A361 at Caen Hill, Devizes, has been taken to the Royal United Hospital by ambulance.
He is a 38-year-old fireman from Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service and police said his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
He was cycling down Caen Hill with another cyclist, also a fireman, when he was struck from behind by a white Ford Fiesta van, driven by a 48-year-old man from Weston super Mare.
The collision happened at 4.18pm and police closed one lane of the dual carriageway.
PC Tony Curtis of the central roads policing unit is appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact him on 0845 408 7000.
