The Horse and Groom pub in Charlton has scooped the award for best Wiltshire Pub/Restaurant for 2009.
The awards, set up by Wiltshire Life magazine to recognise excellence in several different categories, were presented by Malmesbury writer and broadcaster Penny Junor.
The awards were presented at the home of the Earl of Pembroke, Wilton House, near Salisbury.
A judge said of the Charlton pub: “They have a clear passion for food and drink.
“From snacks and pub classics to a la carte menus, the food is simple yet sensational, and most of the ingredients come from within 40 miles of the inn.”
Receiving the award was The Horse and Groom’s head chef Paul Nicholson and general manager Dave Whitney-Brown.
Mr Nicholson, 26, said: “This recognition means a lot to us as a team, as we endeavour to serve the best of British every day.”
