Residents in Corsham will be staging a protest today during the afternoon rush-hour over plans to install traffic lights along the A4.
A small group of about 10 people from the Pickwick area will be standing near to The Two Pigs pub from 5pm to 6pm with placards protesting against the proposed traffic calming measures.
Norman Coates, who lives in Pickwick Road, said: "We will be protesting later today because we do not want these horrible traffic lights to come into place at The Hare and Hounds mini-roundabout or further up the A4.
"Not only will it look terrible but it will bring large queues of traffic to a standstill along Pickwick where we live, bringing with it more noise, fumes and disruption.
"At the moment at least the traffic flows quite well and we accepted the A4 when we bought our houses, but we don't accept large queues of traffic outside our homes."

I really can't believe the plan is set in stone at this stage. Hopefully we'll find out more tomorrow. Not having seen the plan myself, I'm not sure whether I support it or not. As a cyclist I'm no fan of roundabouts though!
