Police in Egremont are appealing for information to help trace Ronald Staveley, of Church View, Egremont, who has been missing for 28 days.
The 77-year-old was last seen on Thursday, July 9, when he stated to neighbours that he was going away for a couple of weeks - he has not returned.
It is known that he was in the Kendal area on Monday July 23 and August 3 but it is believed that Mr Staveley may be staying in the Morecombe bay area in bed and breakfast accommodation.
Police are concerned for the welfare of Mr Staveley and would urge him to get in touch to let us know he is safe and well. Anyone who thinks they have seen Mr Staveley or know where he is are urged to contact Cumbria Police on 0845-3300247 or any police officer.
