Students and staff at Wiltshire College joined together in fundraising activities for Children in Need this week.
Chippenham students spent part of Tuesday battling it out in the Bid for a Butler auction where members of staff and some students volunteered an hour of their time to serving the winner.
At the Lackham campus, also on Tuesday, some students braved a sponsored waxing. This was followed by a gunging and a car wash at the Chippenham campus on Wednesday. People paid to vote for who they would like to be gunged, while a car wash took place elsewhere.
Beauty students were due to be giving people Pudsey nail art in the Chippenham canteen this morning while staff at Trowbridge prepared for a 79 miles bike ride on exercise bikes.
There is something for everyone happening at schools throughout North Wiltshire today.
Charitable youngsters at Sheldon School in Chippenham will be wearing pirate-themed fancy dress, sixth formers hope to form a mile of 20p coins, while Year 7 students will take part in a giant football match.
Hardenhuish School Year 10 pupils will try to form a carpet of coppers in the gym.
Children at Ivy Lane, Queen’s Crescent and Redland schools are all taking part in a non-uniform day.
Children at King’s Lodge School will take their teddy bears to school.
In Wootton Bassett Nore Marsh Junior School will be allowing children to come in their own clothes. Down the road in Broad Hinton the Primary School will be marking their playground with fun shapes with coins.
There will be a non-uniform day for the children, as well as a Pudsey Bear drawing competition.
In nearby Broad Town the Primary School will be supporting two causes on Friday, as the children to dress in blue as a show of support for Anti-Bullying Week, as well as raising money for Children In Need. The children will also be allowed to dress up in spotty clothes.
Pupils and staff at Seagry Primary School will be turning up for the day in their pyjamas.
Staff and sixth formers will be going head to head in a sponsored netball match at Malmesbury Secondary School and at Kington Langley Primary children will be in fancy dress and taking part in a Pudsey Bear Activity Trail.
At Sherston Primary School teaching assistants Liz Walker and Jane Hullance will be dressing up and collecting money.
Crazy head gear will be the order of the day at Fynamore Primary School in Calne. Pupils at Hilmarton County Primary will have a chance to showcase their talents as they take part in a Hilmarton’s Got Talent competition.
Other schools in the Calne area, including Derry Hill and Hilmarton, will host non-uniform days.
Neston Primary, Corsham Regis Primary School and ABC Nursery are all having pyjama days. Neston children are also bringing in spotty cakes to sell as well as having a storytelling session.
Mansion House Pre School is having a fancy dress day tomorrow with their teddies.
Neston Pre School will be having a Pudsey Day, with a Pudsey treasure hunt outside and children will be making biscuits.
