Man smashes police car window in Devizes

A police car's window was kicked in by a man who had been picked up minutes earlier.
The man had been put into the police car after a disturbance in Devizes Market Place.
Witnesses at the bus stop outside the Polly Tea Rooms said the man had been shouting abuse and swearing at people getting off buses before he was put into the back of a police car just before 5pm today.
They said the man then kicked out and shattered the rear passenger window.
A police van arrived soon afterwards and took the man away.
