Car smashes into home in Crockerton


Police have arrested a man after a car crashed into a bungalow in Crockerton at midnight last night.

The black Mercedes went out of control on a bend on a slip road off the A350 and ploughed through 25ft of undergrowth and garden before crashing into the back of the bungalow.

It is believed that no one was in the house at the time.

It is understood the driver and a passenger fled from the scene.

A man believed to be the driver was arrested at 1am. The search is continuing for the other occupant of the car.
